'm growing older every day
Actually, I feel quite independent these days. Don't really NEED you, parents, apart from some basic services and cuddles. Today, after the morning nap I got myself out of bed, went to say 'hello' to Mum, and organised my own catering (the black bag had a nice box of 'tannies in it. I put mummy's shoes there instead, so that she doesn't feel she's got an empty bag). I slept in the big bed this morning because one time I really need you is at bedtime. Falling asleep in my cot just didn't work. And I was sooo tired after last night. In the end, me and mummy cuddled in the big bed and I wenty sleepy-sleeps. I wonder why mummy didn't? She did look tired this morning. Apart from that, I'm working on shoes and doors these days. Achievements so far: can get one pink gumboot on, but not both; and can close doors, but not really open them. In fact, opening is tricky. Sometimes mummy has to push me back when opening the door, and I don't really like it. Very complicated system. Very upset this morning. First my dadda left for work, then the cat chose garden over my cuddles. Not nice. Oh, and my own stint in the garden finished with some stupid 'spit-it-out' war. I think I won, but I'm not sure. Mummy tried to get this green stuff out of my mouth by hand. Still had marks on her finger after some 10 minutes. That'll make her consider it carefully in the future. Got to run, getting pretty for Cody's visit. Have been washing my teeth for the last 5 minutes. They should be all right. Now, for the dress.. love you dadda, Catherine

How did I know mummy didn't go to sleep? Simple - she wasn't there when I woke up!
