Tough night. I'm still feeling sniffly, so life isn't easy. I woke up at 10pm for a cuddle and got a dose of medicine instead. At least I managed to move to mummy-daddy bed for the rest of the night. Or so I thought. Woke next around midnight and found myself in my bed again. Moved over. Around 3am felt a niggly feeling in my tummy. Took me forever to explain to parents what I want. Had to drink a full bottle of water and keep on insisting before I got my formula. After that, the night was pretty good till 7am, when I woke nice and fresh. Had to work on parents, who looked somewhat sluggish this morning. Decided to take up an exercise routine. Daddy is doing one in the mornings, and I can now run in place like he does. Soon, I'll progress to waving my arms and legs in the air. I spent an interesting interlude investigating mummy's potty habits. Discovered toilet paper and how lovely it looks when it unravels. Looked into the loo bowl before and after it was flushed. Even threw my bit of toilet paper in. But then it was gone, so I could not grab it back. Cried a bit. The only thing I don't like about the toilet, is that mummy refused to cuddle me on her lap. Need to insist harder next time. bye, bye Catherine.

Dear Catherine.

I hope you feel better soon. That cough is still pretty nasty. We read your "Owl Babies" book at bedtime again last night. This is fast becoming your favourite bedtime story book. I think you know it off by heart already. When we got to the page where all the owl babies have their eyes closed asleep, you covered your eyes with your hands too! On the second time through (we read it a few times last night, as we usually do) as we came closer to the sleeping owls page again, you covered your eyes every time I turned the page until we got to the right one. You even kissed the owl babies goodnight before you allowed me to finish with the book with a bye-bye and a wave.
That was last night.
This morning, apart from joining in with my 5BX routine (that's all the time I have for exercise these days) with your cute jogging on the spot, at breakfast you had the foresight to say "Uh-oh" before puking. Thanks for warning me, kid. You were in my lap and the only casualty was the floor and the heel of your right shoe.

Have a great day, Sweat-pea.
~Daddy
