Fun at Lygon Street
Mummy and Daddy had to go to the clinic today, so Mum dropped me off at this place with all these other kids. Had lots of interesting toys, so I hardly noticed when Mummy left. I think I glimpsed someone like Daddy looking in through the window about five minutes later. Before I could check it out for sure, the person was gone. Sometime later Mummy picked me up. I'd had a good time, but missed Mummy about halfway through. Then we went off to the park. Wow! There was this strange thing I could climb (with Mummy's help) and also these wonderful chairs that move back and forth ("swings" I think Mummy called them). Great fun. There was also a slide and a spin-around-dizzy thing. Mummy let me call Daddy on the phone and amazingly he appeared a little later! We all played and had a great time, except I got a booboo on the slide with Mummy. I shot into the air and falled down on to some wood chips. I quickly forgot this though, and had fun spinning with Mummy and swinging with Dad's help. Then we had fun playing chasies over the lawns (and flowerbeds). Finally we had yum [dinner] at a restaurant. I sat on Dad's knee, then Mum's knee, then Dad's knee ... you get the idea. They fed me with two sticks and things tasted weird but good. By the time we got home it was all dark, but despite looking for the moon I couldn't find it. When I asked Daddy, he said he didn't know where the moon was either. Weird. How can the Moon just disappear like that?
