Lots of travelling and stars
Spent the day travelling. We drove and drove and drove. And then we went to a place with koalas and stuff. Mummy says it is Australia Zoo. I saw horses! They were my size and went in circles. I also went in circles, on the outside of the circle. And there were birds. Big ones: red and blue. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaall! Fantastic. And a weird horse with a crooked spine. And ELEPHANTS! People stood ina looong cue with bits of food and fed them. Mummy just sat me on the fence and I watched the show. And I think I saw a crocodile. And there were lots of birds that laughed (like my brown one). And some sheep, and cows. And koalas. I got very tired, so we went driving again and drove and drove and drove. Didn't sleep at all well. Had my nappy changed on the bonnet of a car. Then we got back! Had a quick bath, got dressed in a long dress (interferes with ball playing a bit) and went out for dinner. Dziadzio carried me all over the town. We wented to a place with pretty stars on the floor. And when I crouched down to look at it and accidentally covered one with my dress, it changed colour!!! I spent quite a while after that covering them with my dress, but they only changed from time to time. They were fun. But mummy still didn't let me examine the cigarette buts that were there. Never mind, one day I will succeed when nobody is looking. The stars were great! Catherine

Wow, what fun, Kasia! Australia Zoo is where Steve Irwin is. He's the fellow who dangled his baby near a crocodile. I'm glad you didn't see him while you were there with the crocs - he can be dangerous!
How hot is it there? Much warmer than in Melbourne, I'm sure, so Mummy doesn't have to pester you with pullovers and stuff. How do you like the beach? The last time you were at the beach in Torquay you didn't want to even walk on the stuff. Now that you enjoy your sandbox at home, I'm sure you have a completely different view of going to the beach.
Mummy tells me that you're very good about the sunscreen, applying lashings of the stuff on your hands, arms and legs - and to Mummy. What a good girl. And you're happy to wear your hat now (thanks to some effective modelling by The Wiggles).
Have fun!
Love, Daddy
