My nerves are shattered
It is altogether too much. Daddy is gone, Dziadzio is mostly disappearing, the house is changed out of recognition and has an awful lift thing that makes my ears squirm every time we go in or out. I'm trying to hold on to mummy as tight as I can and I scream a little, but it doesn't seem to help. As if this wasn't enough, Mummy decided to torture me today. First we went on a boat (yes, using the nasty lift to get there). An hour and a half of sheer terror, as the thing moved under me. I clung, and then got exhausted and slept. When I woke up we we still there! So I screamed and clung some more until they stopped. Then we wented to some place with lots of animals. There were koalas, but a little bit too far to cuddle. They don't move, so are much less fun than cats. We wented to a place where there were kangaroos. Only mummy didn't let me pat any. And I really wanted to. Staged a tantrum, but it didn't work. Then we saw some booooords that said 'hello' and bye-bye'. That was definitively great. And then... you wouldn't believe it! Mummy found something that is even worse than a boat. We went in a bus. I screamed and clung to mummy in total panic for the 40 minutes that the ride lasted. Positively awful! And the whole outing was concluded by, you guessed it, a ride in a lift. I want to go home! Only don't make me go by an airplane! Catherine

Poor, Sweetie. Its all new and scary, and nothing but Mummy (and Dziadzio - when he's back from work) is familiar. Daddy can't wait for you and Mummy to get home too.
Daddy is now back from his team building. We achieved success ("success" is like getting what you want after a tantrum). As our prize, we got our very own pet (metal) aardvark. Its very cute and made of car parts. We decided to call it "Fluffy".
Don't worry about the airplane. It will be a lot of fun (remember last time? I guess not, you were asleep).
Meanwhile, Daddy intends to do a few things around the house to make it nicer and safer for you (planting trees, doing some washing, concreting the gaps in the stone wall so that snakes can't hide there ...).
Daddy just cant wait to cuddle you and Mummy, read you a book and chat about your holiday experiences.
Kiss-kiss,
Daddy
