Working for my bottle
I mean, really. A toddler here is supposed to do her part. Take the mornings, for example. The first thing I do after getting out of bed is to hand Mummy her glasses. Yesterday, I felt like a bottle. The parents, lazing in bed, asked me to hand it to them. I did. Then, they wanted the box with the formula powder. That got me confused. I handed them a bottle top that was lying around, before hitting on the box. Then I gave them a bit of fluff that I found. They didn't want it, so I ate it. It didn't taste good. What else do I do around the house? Almost everything. For example, yesterday I helped mummy to deal with the wash: I carried four socks to the laundry. A toddler's work is never done.

Hello, Kasia.

This is Dad. Don't think all your hard work goes unnoticed. When I was planting trees in the garden you were very keen to help, testing the depth of the holes by jumping in (and falling in, stumbling in, rolling in). You're also great at organising things, such as all the nail scissors, nail files and paraphernalia in the case on Mum's dressing table. You've actually gotten very good about looking after your nails, carefully cleaning under them as you and Daddy wash hands after playing in the garden, and filing nails and pushing back the cuticles! You are just so clever and cute. You even copy the whispered "Kah" sound that Mummy or Daddy make after drinking from a small fruit juice carton (even if sometimes you remember to do this a second or two after putting the drink down).
You are a great kid and Daddy misses you now that he's back at work after the weekend.

Love,
Daddy
