Early Bedtime is for Babies
I've also decided that early bedtime is for babies. Last night, Mummy-Daddy put me to bed at 7:15! Can you believe it? They decided that I was taking too long to fall asleep if I wented to bed at 8:00. So the obvious thing is to put me to bed EVEN EARLIER ??!! Well. I had a great time (I don't think that Mummy-Daddy did, though. Tee-hee!) Eventually they let me get out of bed. Bliss. I watched Hairy Maclairy until after 9:00 o'clock, just like the big kids. (So that's what Mummy-Daddy do after I go to bed - watch Hairy Maclairy!) When they broke up the party and put me to bed (again!) I was most upset. First I asked Mummy for bot-bot. Then when Mummy tried to give it to me I demanded "Daddy-bot-bot" of course. When Daddy came, Mummy wented 'way. So of course I asked for Mummy and refused the bot-bot from Daddy. Since Parents weren't going to both put me to bed (how cruel), I finally wented to sleep for Mummy. Ho-hum. K.

You clever thing!

Today, while reading the Hairy Maclairy book "Scattercat" (in which there's a cat show) you pointed to one of the 1st prize ribbons and said "One!" Neither Mummy nor Daddy taught you this. Where did you learn that?

That's nothing, Daddy! While playing with playdough, I squished a bit so that it was flat like one of your pancakes. Then I stuck my finger in it to make a hole and said "Eye". Then I did it again for a second "Eye". Then I made a pinch of playdough in the middle and said "nose". Finally, I made a flat bit and said "Arm".

I know! And when I came home, Dziadzio was just leaving. You didn't want him to go and lead him by the finger away from the door saying "Walk!" What an amazing girl I have!
