Where did Mummy-Daddy go?
Today was lovely in the beginning. Mummy tooked me to the beach, and we drove in the car and got some chippies. She told me that we'd see Daddy, and made some mention of toys or something. Sure enough, after getting out of the car and going in the stroller, there was Daddy across the street. Wow! Maybe there is truth in this rumour that Mummies know everything. Daddy met us as we crossed the road and we chatted about my day so far. Everything was perfect. Then Mummy-Daddy wented 'way - just like that! One minute they were with me in this room full of toys and a few other kids, next thing Mummy-Daddy were saying goodbye and they were GONE! I CRIED and CRIED! I even THREW UP (mind you, I do have this cough that makes me puke). And when I simmered down and one of the ladies came over to 'engage' me I threatened to throw up again, I got so upset. It was awful. A loooooong time later Daddy appeared. I was so relieved I forgot to be angry at him and just wanted to know where Mummy was. Daddy explained that Mummy was around and that he would take me to her. I was just so pleased to see Daddy again! Daddy tooked me to Mummy in this strange place. There were strange smells, echoing halls, and weird things that go "PING". We EVENTUALLY found Mummy and Daddy said he had to go to work. That was strange ... normally he goes to work in the morning. Oh well. At least I had my Mummy back! Then we played on the swings'n'stuff. Then Mummy tooked me into this other building. Mummy explained it was Daddy's work. Daddy came! He took me to show me his desk and said hello to some other people while Mummy wented to the toilet. Then we had ICECREAM! Yum! And when we got home and watched the Wiggles. So it all turned out right in the end. Daddy gave me a bot-bot in bed as usual, sang a lulabye like he always does, and told me about how the nanas in pyjamas go to bed to sleep. Ah. I was so sleepy .... mmmm...
