Am a social animal
Had my cousin Hannah come over with Jessica ('Auntie Jessica for you' mummy says, but I know better). She is NICE. Jessica, I mean. I guess Hannah is nice too: she is cute and we had a great game of copying each other last night. And a very enjoyable bath together. But she plays with my toys! I am really worried, because they are MINE. And she cries when I take them back. And mummy tries to convince me to actually give them to her. Well, I guess I do, because she seems really upset (and forgets about them quite quickly), but it's a bit outside my comfort zone. So today, after a couple of hours play with Hannah I was quite happy to go to the Children's Centre. We got in (beeping the door-answering code: mummy got it right after only 2 tries: this is good stuff to imitate in my games) and I told the lady that cooks for us all about Jessica and Hannah and mummy and daddy always coming back. I got a touch anxious in the room when Mummy was leaving, but had a great time all in all: bounced on big foam blocks, played with playdough and talked a lot. Ate my lunch (and had a little mishap with a sippy cup) and was reading my book with all the other children already in bed when mummy came. I did ask about getting my own bed, but they weren't forthcoming. Wonder why. Then played a bit more with Hannah and rested a bit on Mummy's tummy while listening in to what the adults had to say. It turns out that Hannah also likes trying on grown-up shoes, so we did that together. Also banged a bit and played hiding behind the sheers on the window. Hannah knows exactly what she wants, and it is usually one of my toys! Not sure what to do about it. Jessica says that we can come to their place on the farm and I can play with Hannah's toys. That is fine, but it still doesn't solve my problem. Louisa's tomorrow. I got over my attack of nervousness, but didn't really enjoy it the last time. I just sat around and didn't feel like playing. Got to watch the Garfield video twice, though! Catherine
